House D'Elboux
Modern House Design in Central Mossel Bay
Bulkheads were used in the kitchen, living room and main bedroom. Gas fireplace, paint finished as features to improve the look & value at a minimal cost.
The house was designed to limit wasted space, eg. the passage, which links five rooms, is only 1.8m & we could thus increase the room sizes. By using patio doors in all the rooms and a deck in front of it, it automatically increased the feeling of the room size.
To achieve the energy efficiency, all the Bedrooms, Office, Dining room & Kitchen are North facing and also used improved isolating materials like Lambdaboard.
